R & D Associate Engineer [ Jun 1994 - Mar 1995 ]

Not to be confused with Telegent, Telegen was a small Telecomms startup which chose to exploit the deregulation of the telco industry. Their primary product was an Automatic Carrier Selection Device which enabled a caller to route a long distance call across the network of the carrier charging the least.

Reporting into the Engineering department. My role in Telegen was vague. Looking back on it, I suppose I did a little hardware testing. Besides the good people working there, the less said the better - the company went out of business pretty quickly.

Responsibilities

Analysis and development of an Automatic Carrier Selection device.
Product Test supervision at Alpha and Beta stages.
Characterization of possible failure modes by board level analysis.
Schematic validation of CAD plots.
